One Touch Switch
One Touch Switch is the UK process where you order service from a new broadband provider and they coordinate leaving your old provider—you do not have to “cease” the line yourself in the traditional way.
Why it matters
It reduces friction for residential switches and sets clearer responsibilities, but contract end dates and equipment returns still matter.
Example in UK broadband
You pick a new deal, the new provider runs checks and sets a switch date; on the day, service moves. You may still owe early exit fees if you are in contract.
